HOW TO WEAR?

To properly wear a 9 mukhi Rudraksha, it is recommended to perform a puja for its activation. This puja is a traditional method to energize the Rudraksha and should be conducted early in the morning on a Saturday. Here is a step-by-step guide for performing the puja:

1. Cleaning the Rudraksha:
   • Begin by cleaning the Rudraksha with Gangajal (water from the Ganges) or Panchamrut (a sacred mixture of milk, curd, honey, ghee, and Gangajal).
2. Puja Ritual:
   • Apply sandalwood paste on all sides of the Rudraksha, ensuring it is fully covered.
   • Wave agarbatti (incense stick) or kapur (camphor) around the Rudraksha in a circular motion.
   • Offer a handful of white flowers to the Rudraksha as a dedication.
   • Gently touch the Rudraksha to a shivling (symbolic representation of Lord Shiva) or a photo of Lord Shiva while chanting ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ 11 times.
3. Sitting for the Puja:
   • Find a calm and peaceful place, facing east.
   • Dip the Rudraksha in Gangajal once again to purify it.
   • Place 9 peepal leaves on a copper plate.
   • Offer flowers and apply sandalwood paste to the Rudraksha.
   • Chant ‘AUM Namaha Shivay, Aum Hreem Namaha’ 108 times.
