How to Wear 8 Mukhi Rudraksha?

To ensure the maximum benefits of wearing an 8 mukhi rudraksha, it is important to perform an abhishek vidhi (ceremonial bath) to energize it. According to experts in rudraksha science, the ideal day to wear it is Wednesday. The puja can be performed at dawn, and the following rituals can be followed:

For the second type of puja, you will need:

• Panchagavya/Panchamrit (a mixture of five sacred ingredients), Gangajal (water from the holy Ganges), peepal leaves, kapur (camphor), and a coconut.

Here are the steps to perform the puja:

1. Begin by cleansing the rudraksha with Gangajal or Panchamrut.
2. Apply sandalwood paste on all sides of the 8 mukhi rudraksha.
3. Light agarbatti (incense sticks) or kapur and wave it in a circular motion around the rudraksha.
4. Offer flowers, preferably white, to the rudraksha.
5. As the final step, gently touch the rudraksha to a shivling (representation of Lord Shiva) or a photo of Lord Shiva, while chanting ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ 11 times.

At dawn, sit facing the east and follow these steps:

1. Take a spoonful of Gangajal and cleanse the rudraksha thoroughly.
2. Place 9 peepal leaves on a copper plate.
3. Apply sandalwood paste and offer flowers to the rudraksha.
4. Chant ‘AUM Namaha Shivay, Aum Hreem Namaha’ 108 times.
